At SafeBite, we value your privacy and the security of your information. This policy describes how we handle your data in our mobile application.

1. Privacy by Design (Offline-First)

SafeBite's core feature is its ability to process information locally. Label scanning is performed entirely on your device. Your images are never sent to our servers or third parties for analysis.

2. Information We Collect

We process data needed to provide the features you use. • Account data: Email, profile details, and account identifiers when you create an account. • Scan history: Saved review results and household sync data for signed-in accounts. Guest history is stored on the device. • App activity and identifiers: Interactions, device or advertising identifiers, and related diagnostics used for analytics and ads, subject to platform settings and consent. • Diagnostics: Crash logs and performance information. • Purchases: Subscription product and entitlement status handled through Apple or Google and RevenueCat. SafeBite does not receive your full payment card details.

3. Camera Usage

SafeBite requests permission to use the camera solely for scanning labels. We do not save photos to your gallery without permission.

4. Third Parties

Google ML Kit performs label text recognition on your device; label images are not sent to our servers for OCR. Supabase processes account, family, and signed-in scan-sync data. Firebase processes app analytics and crash/performance diagnostics. Google Mobile Ads serves rewarded ads and may process device or advertising identifiers and app interactions for ad delivery and measurement, based on platform settings and consent. RevenueCat helps manage subscription purchases and entitlement status with Apple and Google. We do not receive full payment card details.

5. Your Rights

You can clear guest history on your device, restore purchases, or delete a signed-in account and its associated data from Settings in the app. If you cannot access the app, you can request deletion through the web page below.
